Day 1
THEORY
Color & Shape/ Anterior directs class IV
The fundamental concepts of colour theory, including opacity, translucency, and hue, will be explored with a focus on discovering and recognizing different shades. Special attention will be given to colour management, proportions, and characterization to achieve optimal aesthetic and functional results. It will cover key aspects such as creating the perfect palatal index, cavity preparation, and adhesive steps. Focus will be given to matrix and wedging management, thickness control during stratification, and essential tips and tricks for enamel placement.
HANDS-ON
Class IV Anterior
Freehand techniques for Class IV anterior restorations, including precise silicone index fabrication, proximal wall creation, and intraoperative composite refinement.
Essential morphology and shape/ mastering polishing
Demos on basic anatomy, primary and secondary anatomy, practical techniques for achieving them, and both hard and soft tertiary anatomy.
THEORY
Diastema and shape / Front wing Technique
Essential protocol for diastema closure using the Front Wing Technique, emphasizing controlled composite layering and predictable contact point. Optimizes morphology, emergence profile, and minimally invasive execution.
Day 2
HANDS-ON
Diastema and shape/ mid-line diastema closure:
From simple to complex, the focus will be on color, technique, achieving consistently tight contacts, and creating natural contours in proximal anterior restorations.
Class III classification and class V cervical defects
From simple to complex, the focus will be on color, technique, achieving consistently tight contacts, and creating natural contours in proximal anterior restorations. Tips to improve your strategy and skills to perform the perfect restoration in the most common and challenging cavities.
HANDS-ON
Class III classification and class V cervical defects
The secrets of invisible restorations and anti–white line techniques. Class V and gap-closing techniques will be explored in a clinical context, focusing on fractured-tooth management, creating a precise palatal index, determining stratification areas, and achieving accurate shade estimation. Attention will also be given to corrections of anterior restorations.
Simplified bleaching strategies new trends
Successful bleaching will be explored through StyleItaliano protocols, highlighting the benefits of Digital Bleaching. The use of Optishade in the bleaching process will be introduced, emphasizing its advantages for achieving optimal results.
Bleaching tracking demo
Hands-on, considerations and tips and tricks on how to deal with a restoration with white substrates or white neighbor teeth.
Day 3
HANDS-ON
Anterior Direct Class IV
Class IV restorations will be covered step by step, from cavity preparation and build-up to enamel placement, polishing, and finishing. The session will also focus on composite corrections, the rational use of stains, and strategies for maintenance and long-term control.
THEORY
Composite Correction and Repair
Being able to modify and maintain composites might change your vision in restorative dentistry. Walter Devoto brings together 28 years of experience in achieving outstanding composites and in highlighting how composite can change one’s vision in dentistry, even when doing prosthodontics and mouth rehabilitations.
Composite Ant & Post Repair & Maintenance
Stratification bases will be explored through color and shape management, cavity configuration, and layering techniques. The closing gap technique and hybrid cavities will be addressed, with all concepts applied in a clinical challenge.
Longevity: follow up of composite restoration over time and maintenance.
How to keep it healthy over time and how to make it “last forever”.
Day 4
THEORY
Bonding and Adhesive Dentistry
Stay updated on adhesive dentistry with a focus on bonding science in clinical practice. Key topics include adhesion, post-op sensitivity, C-factor, and the rational use of bulk-fill materials. The session will also cover the challenges of posterior restorations, the benefits of the Essential Lines technique, and a refined, repeatable stratification approach. Additionally, emphasis will be placed on advanced modeling techniques and a new perspective on dental anatomy to enhance both functional and aesthetic outcomes.
HANDS-ON
Espresso Posterior
The Essential Lines technique streamlines occlusal anatomy modeling in posterior restorations using the LM Arte Solo Posterior instrument. By following key lines, it ensures efficient, functional, and aesthetic reconstructions. As part of the Style Italiano philosophy, it enhances the speed and predictability of daily restorations. The approach covers Essential Lines for upper and lower restorations, their application to 3D anatomy, and techniques for finishing and polishing.
