We keep you up to date on adhesive dentistry whilst explaining bonding science applied to the real clinic.

Posterior direct

We explain the whole process of obtaining long-lasting, beautiful posterior restorations with little time.

Practice

Essential Lines 3D

From the card to the tooth: how to restore class I and II using the essential lines technique.

Deep margin posterior direct

A technique to solve the deep margin problem in borderline cases, when crown lenghtening is not necessary.

Day 2

A sneak peek into the world of two of the most challenging composite restorations: the class IV and isolation

Theory

Rubber Dam and photography

An insightful 3 minutes worth of protocol designed to share fundamental tips in order to be able to isolate any case with rubber dam in restorative dentistry. We provide you with the right equipment for your camera to take high quality dental photographs in a standard way.

The secrets of color

Focus on the important features of dental color, insights on how to create a color map and copy the characterizations. A simple 3 steps protocol designed to gather all the information needed for an outstanding restoration with all its features.

Anterior Directs Class IV

The future of stratification, a full review on the current layering techniques and the future ones. Focus on rationale and decision-making process on when to apply each of them. From complex stratification, to single shade and a few shortcuts to optimize their use.

Practice

Stratification bases

All the necessary concepts and demonstrations on how to build a perfect silicone index, applicable to many strategies as the wax-up or the direct mock-up. Demonstrations on how to handle, cut and mark the silicone index, and how to place the first layer of palatal composite.

Anterior Direct

Demonstrations on how to build-up the proximal all and intraoperative composite correction. Dentin masking layer, full body shade contour, texture transfer strategy, incisal edge design and micro enamel placement.

Morphology and shape

Demonstrations on basic anatomy, outline and contour, primary anatomy and all its variants, secondary anatomy and the feasible way to do it, and hard and soft tertiary anatomy. Insights on polishing and gloss, the Layers2 protocol, speed and reliable with only 2 steps

Day 3

An insight into the world of daily restorations: Class III and V

Theory

Anterior Directs Class III and V

Tips to improve your strategy and skills to perform the perfect restoration in the most common but also most challenging cavities for most of us.

Shape modification

A series of tips designed to enable you to overcome challenging scenarios when performing shape modifications (conoid laterals, diastema, closure, etc)

Practice

Anterior Directs Class III and V

Anterior class III and V. The secrets for invisible restorations, and the anti-white lines techniques.

Diastema

The easiest technique for complex anterior diastema.

Day 4

Insights into the world of composite corrections and maintenance.

Theory

Corrections, maintenance and composite longevity

Being able to modify and maintain composites might change your vision in restorative dentistry. Walter Devoto brings together 28 years of experience in achieving outstanding composites and in highlighting how composite can change one’s vision in dentistry, even when doing prosthodontics and mouth rehabilitations. This includes how to keep them healthy over time and how to make them “last forever”.

Practice

Composite Correction and maintenance

Different levels of composite correction and our maintenance protocol:
Level 1 correction (margin correction)
Level 2 correction (enamel replacement)
Level 3 correction (incisal edge correction)
Maintenance protocol

* Daily schedule order may vary according to teachers’ commitments, but the full program will be respected
